Our handheld vascular Doppler model L150R is a portable medical device that uses ultrasound techniques to detect and assess blood flow in vessels. It's a valuable tool for non-invasive vascular examinations, helping to diagnose conditions like peripheral artery disease and venous insufficiency.
Peripheral Artery Disease (PAD) Assessment:
L150R Handheld Dopplers are used to measure the Ankle-Brachial Pressure Index (ABI), which helps to diagnose PAD by comparing the blood pressure in the ankles to the blood pressure in the arms. An ABI value less than 0.9 indicates reduced blood flow to the limbs and more than 1.4 indicates calcified blood vessels.
Venous Insufficiency Assessment:
It is also used to evaluate venous blood flow and identify potential issues like deep vein thrombosis (DVT) by listening for abnormal sounds.
