This is one of our Proprietary Equipment. Peripheral Neuropathy plays major role in the risk of foot ulcerations than peripheral arterial disease (PAD) for the patient with Diabetes. Vibration Perception Threshold (VPT) is strongly associated with foot ulceration. VPT determination by using a Digital Biothesiometer is used to grade the peripheral sensory neuropathy level and helps us to monitor progressive changes. A Small Fiber Neuropathy occurs when damage to the small Myelinated fibers or Unmyelinated fibers. A Small-fiber test provides warm, cool and heat pain thermal sensory thresholds, and it is useful in evaluation of diabetic neuropathy. Early detection of Small Fiber Neuropathy helps better prevention and it helps to prevent amputation.
